US businesses to feel secure about investing in Thai Nguyen

Continuing the investment promotion, trade, and international cooperation program, on November 13, the delegation from Thai Nguyen province, led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, participated in a workshop with Vietnamese-American businesses in Los Angeles, US. Speaking at the workshop, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that there are a lot of investment opportunities for both sides.

The workshop was attended by leaders from Long An province, representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and 60 businesses from Thai Nguyen, Long An, and other provinces and cities in Vietnam.

From the US side, there were Mr. Kenneth Laird Wengrod, Deputy Vice President in charge of International Trade and Foreign Investment, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Rachid Sayouty, Director at US Commercial Service Los Angeles, U.S. Department of Commerce.

During the workshop, the delegations from Thai Nguyen, Long An provinces, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry were introduced to the overall economic overview of the state of California, along with business opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises. The US Commercial Service of the US Department of Commerce explained how it supports US companies in entering international markets, especially the Vietnamese market.

The workshop organizers allocated time for the delegations from Thai Nguyen and Long An provinces to introduce the potentials, investment opportunities, and priority sectors for attracting investment in their respective provinces.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed that the workshop is a valuable opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas on investment opportunities and business cooperation between Vietnamese and US enterprises, as well as between Thai Nguyen province and US partners. This aims to further promote trade and investment relations between the two countries, in line with the comprehensive strategic partnership recently established.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh expressed the province's desire to seek cooperation opportunities and promote investment and trade with US partners. He firmly committed and believed that US investors would be assured when implementing collaborative projects in Thai Nguyen province.

He expressed the hope to continue receiving support and connections from the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, US Commercial Service Los Angeles, the US Department of Commerce, US investors, and businesses. This support would create more opportunities for Thai Nguyen province to collaborate with foreign investors, especially attracting US investors to the province, contributing to the development of both Vietnam and the United States in general and Thai Nguyen province and US partners in particular.

The introduction of Thai Nguyen province, investment cooperation opportunities, and the commitments of provincial leaders received special attention from US and Vietnamese experts and businesses. On the sidelines of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh and delegation members exchanged, connected, and shared mutual perspectives on investment cooperation opportunities between the two sides.
