Thai Nguyen develops supply chains for FDI enterprises

During an inspection of the Lead-Zinc Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant project in Cho Don Commune, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan stressed the need to promote deep mineral processing, enhance the value of local mineral resources, and develop a strong network of domestic suppliers capable of meeting the needs of major FDI enterprises in the province.

The project has a total investment of more than VND 612 billion. Its lead production line is already operational, with an annual capacity of 5,000 tonnes and a purity level of 99.99%.

The remaining facilities for zinc, batteries, accumulators and sulfuric acid are about 70% complete. In the first six months of 2026, the project contributed VND 8.14 billion to the state budget.

The provincial chairman asked the company to accelerate the remaining work and put all production lines into operation as soon as possible. He also called for greater application of technology and automation, strict adherence to workplace safety standards, and tighter control of waste.

The project is expected to not only contribute to the development of deep-processing industries, but also provide high-quality raw materials and components for FDI enterprises in the province.
