Thai Nguyen signs MoU with Pacific Construction Group

On April 20, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held between the Thai Nguyen Department of Construction and Pacific Construction Group of China.

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of provincial departments and agencies, attended the ceremony. The partner delegation included Mr. Yan Jiehe, founder of Pacific Construction Group; Ms. Li Yana, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Group’s Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Construction Division; and representatives of relevant units.

The cooperation focuses on information exchange, experience sharing, exploring investment opportunities, and coordinating the implementation of projects in line with Thai Nguyen’s planning and development orientation.

Proposed areas of cooperation include the development of key transport infrastructure, urban infrastructure, cultural and tourism facilities, transport upgrading projects adapted to climate change, flood prevention, and several other key projects.

Under the agreement, Pacific Construction Group plans to establish a subsidiary with independent legal status in Thai Nguyen to carry out cooperation activities and gradually concretize its investment and business operations. Over the next five years, the total planned investment is expected to be no less than USD 2.5 billion.

The signing ceremony was described as an important first step, laying the groundwork for stronger cooperation between Thai Nguyen Province and Pacific Construction Group in the coming period, contributing to the realization of the province’s goals of developing synchronized and modern infrastructure, improving urban quality, and enhancing local living standards.
