For Thai Nguyen, the shift toward green, ecological and smart development is no longer an optional recommendation, but an inevitable requirement.

In the 2026–2030 period, the province will focus on renewing the growth model, promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and the circular economy; developing industry in sync with economic restructuring and industrial park and cluster infrastructure under a green and modern model.

By 2030, industry and construction are expected to account for 54.6% of GRDP; the industrial production index is projected to grow by an average of 13% per year; and the processing and manufacturing sector is expected to make up about 47% of GRDP.

The province strives to ensure that 100% of industrial parks and clusters have standard-compliant wastewater treatment systems, form at least one eco-industrial park, and develop renewable energy with a total capacity of about 1,380 MW.
