On January 5, Thai Nguyen Province held the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference under the theme “Thai Nguyen: A Hub of Connectivity – Creating Prosperity.”

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government. International guests included Mr. Wang Qun, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Viet Nam, and Choi Young Sam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Viet Nam.
Representing Thai Nguyen Province were Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. The event also drew leaders of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), representatives of economic groups, enterprises, and investors from Vietnam and abroad, as well as commercial banks and business associations.
At the conference, Thai Nguyen Province awarded investment registration certificates and investment commitments to 31 projects, including 23 domestic projects with a total capital of nearly USD 2.9 billion and 8 FDI projects with a total capital exceeding USD 1.5 billion. The total newly registered and committed investment capital thus reached almost USD 4.4 billion.
With a serious, responsible, and effective working spirit, the 2026 Thai Nguyen Investment Promotion Conference achieved positive results. The event conveyed a clear message of the province’s determination to act early, work substantively, and mobilize investment resources effectively for development.
It also helped reaffirm Thai Nguyen’s role within the regional economic development space and its close linkage with major growth poles in Northern Viet Nam.
