Signing of cooperation agreement on Digital Transformation and Smart City Development

On the afternoon of December 22, Phan Dinh Phung Ward and Viettel Thai Nguyen signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation and smart city development for the 2026–2030 period.

Under the agreement, the two sides will coordinate in implementing solutions on digital infrastructure, raising digital awareness, and developing digital government, the digital economy, and the digital society, to build a smart city that better serves the needs of residents and businesses.

Viettel will conduct a comprehensive survey, work with specific focal points, and prioritize the deployment of advanced technological infrastructure, ensuring overall coherence across the area. As the central ward of the province, in recent years Phan Dinh Phung has proactively implemented various solutions to promote digital transformation across all three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. To date, more than 25,800 residents in the ward have integrated their electronic health records into VNeID; 100% of general education schools use electronic report cards; and the rate of online application submission has exceeded 78%.
