Thai Nguyen gains highest export value in 5 years

In the first quarter of 2024, the export value of goods in Thai Nguyen province is estimated to reach over 8.8 billion USD, increasing 22.6 percent over the same period. This is the highest value scale and the highest growth rate in 5 years.

Accounting for the largest proportion in the value of exported goods is the group of phones, tablets, and other components, estimated at over 8.2 billion USD (accounting for 92.7 percent, up 25 percent over the same period); Next is photovoltaic cells and solar modules, estimated at 288 million USD (accounting for 3.2 percent, an increase of 8.9 percent). Garment products are estimated at 126 million USD (accounting for 1.4 percent); Non-ferrous metals and metal ores are estimated at 60.3 million USD (accounting for 0.7 percent); Iron and steel products are estimated at 7.4 million USD...

Regarding the export market, the largest is Asia (accounting for about 40 percent of the total value); Next is the American market (accounting for about 35 percent, of which the US market alone accounts for about 33 percent).
