According to reports from telecommunications enterprises and data provided by the Telecommunications Authority, by the end of 2025, 5G coverage across Thai Nguyen province reached 79% of the population.

Based on the development plans registered by enterprises, Thai Nguyen is expected to deploy 923 5G BTS stations in 2026, with the goal of increasing 5G coverage to 95% of the province’s population.

At the meeting, delegates discussed several difficulties in expanding 5G coverage, particularly in mountainous areas. In addition, the economic conditions of residents in some areas remain limited, and the rate of 5G-enabled device usage is still not high.

In her concluding remarks, the Vice Chairwoman urged telecommunications enterprises to continue stepping up investment in infrastructure, especially the 5G network, striving to raise 5G coverage to 95% of the provincial population to meet the requirements of digital transformation and the province’s socio-economic development.
