Recently, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh held a working session with Thai Nguyen Province on the implementation of social housing projects in the locality. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee.

At the working session, provincial leaders reported that during the 2025–2030 period, Thai Nguyen has been assigned a target of developing 24,800 social housing units. In 2025, the province completed 1,154 units, reaching 106.5% of the plan. In 2026, the province will launch two projects and will continue to break ground on four more projects on April 28. It also aims to approve investment policies and start construction on an additional six social housing projects by September 2.
The province has identified 72 land locations for social housing development, with a total area of over 282 hectares. It is also reviewing and proposing to raise the social housing development target by 2030 to around 60,000 units.
The conference also focused on discussing project implementation progress and clarifying difficulties and obstacles related to land clearance, approval, and adjustment of investment policies, as well as the enforcement of legal regulations.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Minister praised investors for actively implementing projects and ensuring construction progress. He also requested the province to further strengthen leadership and direction, promote the role of the Department of Construction as the lead coordinating agency, and enhance coordination among departments, sectors, and local authorities to shorten administrative procedures.
