To help residents have jobs and increase income after natural disasters, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society recently coordinated with the Project Relief Committee of Dan Tien Commune to implement a labor-exchange activity. The program is part of a project funded by Oxfam to address the consequences of natural disasters in the province.

The work mainly focused on improving farmland, irrigation canals, roads, and water supply facilities, meeting the practical needs of local people. During implementation, residents participated through a labor-exchange model, contributing working days, while ensuring transparency and openness in selecting work items and managing project funds.

So far, the key items have been basically completed, and residents in the hamlets of the commune have been paid for their labor, helping improve their income. The total budget implemented in Dan Tien Commune was VND 96 million, equivalent to 320 working days.

The activity was organized flexibly, with reasonable labor allocation, ensuring fairness and transparency, thereby promoting solidarity and mutual support within the community.
