Workshop on hypertension and cardiovascular risk

On March 13, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Center for Disease Control, in coordination with the Vietnam Society of Cardiology, organized a workshop titled “Updating Knowledge on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Risk”.

Nearly 100 doctors are updated on the knowledge of hypertension and cardiovascular risk.

The event brought together experts from the National Heart Institute and Hanoi Medical University, along with nearly 100 doctors from hospitals and commune health stations across the province.

At the workshop, experts emphasized the increasing prevalence of hypertension and cardiovascular risk factors, which have become a major challenge for the healthcare sector. Updating knowledge and strengthening the capacity of health workers in detecting, managing, and treating hypertension is essential for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. Professional presentations focused on hypertension, blood pressure variability, and lipid disorders.

The workshop provided an opportunity for health workers to reinforce their knowledge and exchange professional experience, contributing to improved effectiveness in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and the enhancement of community health.
