On the morning of March 29, the Election Steering Committee, the Provincial Election Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province held a conference to review the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The conference was held in person and connected online to 92 communes and wards across the province.

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was an important political event for both the country and the province, and a nationwide festival for all people.
Preparations and election organization were carried out in a synchronized manner, in compliance with regulations, and on schedule. The compilation of voter lists and candidate lists, as well as the voting and vote-counting process, were conducted rigorously, democratically, publicly, and transparently. Political security, social order and safety were ensured, with no complicated issues arising. Voter turnout was very high, reaching 99.97%.
Speaking at the conference in his capacity as a National Assembly deputy representing Thai Nguyen Province, General Phan Van Giang urged newly elected deputies to soon concretize their action programs, strengthen voter outreach, and listen to and promptly reflect the people’s opinions.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 90 collectives and 247 individuals for their outstanding achievements in election organization.
