| The national-level research project “Linkages for Tourism Development in the Viet Bac War Zone,” implemented from December 2021 to May 2024, examined the theoretical and practical foundations and proposed orientations and models for sustainable tourism development that preserve the region's historical and cultural values. |
At the conference, the project management board transferred to Thai Nguyen Province a system of theoretical foundations and several specialized tourism development models. Experts proposed that Thai Nguyen strengthen regional cooperation, promote tourism, and develop distinctive tourism products. One notable idea is to connect Nui Coc Lake with Ba Be Lake to form a “mountain lake tourism paradise,” and to link tourism at the ATK historical sites with community-based ecological tourism.
Speaking at the conference, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the project’s scientific value, considering it an important foundation for developing tourism strategies, thereby contributing to economic growth and sustainable poverty reduction in the Viet Bac War Zone region.
