Enhancing regional connectivity, expanding cooperation space between Thai Nguyen and Ninh Binh

On March 17, in Ninh Binh Province, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, co-chaired a working session to exchange views on cooperation between the Party Committees of the two localities.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee emphasized the importance of re-establishing connections after the formation of the new Ninh Binh Province, which merged the former Nam Dinh and Ha Nam provinces, thereby opening up broader development opportunities. He affirmed that although Thai Nguyen and Ninh Binh provinces are not geographically adjacent, they share many similarities that create favorable conditions for cooperation, particularly in infrastructure development, transport connectivity, and interregional economic value chains. The Thai Nguyen Party Secretary expressed his hope that the two localities would strengthen exchanges of experience in Party building, governance, and investment attraction; promote business linkages; develop supporting industries; expand product markets; and gradually establish substantive, highly feasible coordination mechanisms.

The Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee proposed that the two provinces soon develop concrete cooperation programs in their key areas. He also emphasized the need to maintain regular exchanges and joint activities to strengthen ties and enhance competitiveness, not only in the short term but also in each locality’s long-term strategic development.
