The 2026 “Trade Union Tet Market” program

On January 31, at the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Culture House, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the 2026 “Trade Union Tet Market” program, attracting a large number of union members and workers.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour donates 100 Tet gift packages to underprivileged trade union members.

In preparation for Lunar New Year 2026, trade unions at all levels mobilized substantial resources to take care of union members for Tet. The Provincial Federation of Labor alone allocated nearly VND 12 billion, along with more than VND 5 billion from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, to provide direct support to over 27,400 union members. Practical activities included Tet gift-giving, visits to enterprises and workers’ boarding houses, and organizing transportation to help workers return home safely for Tet.

At the 2026 “Trade Union Tet Market” program, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 100 Tet gift packages to union members in difficult circumstances. Immediately after the opening ceremony, a series of activities in response to the 2026 “Trade Union Tet Market” took place in a lively atmosphere, featuring shopping for essential goods at preferential prices; the use of support cards and vouchers for union members and workers; along with exchange activities and traditional folk games, creating a strong atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday.
