Opening of Duom Temple Spring Festival 2026

On the morning of February 22, the opening ceremony of the Duom Temple Spring Festival 2026 took place at the national historical, cultural, and scenic site of Duom Temple in Phu Luong Commune.

In 2017, the Duom Temple Festival was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Every year, on the 5th and 6th days of the first lunar month, the local authorities organize the Duom Temple Festival in a solemn and reverent atmosphere. The festival is an occasion for local people to commemorate the merits of Duong Tu Minh, a distinguished general of the nation, and to express hopes for favorable weather, abundant harvests, and a prosperous and happy life in the new year.

The 2026 festival includes two main parts: the ceremonial section and the festive section. The ceremonial activities are conducted with traditional rituals such as incense offerings, processions, and sacrificial ceremonies in accordance with ancient customs, reflecting the Vietnamese moral tradition of gratitude.

Following the ceremony, the festive section features a wide range of cultural, artistic, sporting, and culinary activities that highlight national identity.

Notably, in 2026, Phu Luong Commune implemented a digitalization project for the national historical site of DuomTemple, enabling visitors to explore and learn about the site’s historical values in a digital environment, contributing to integrating traditional cultural heritage with the ongoing digital transformation.

In 2017, the Duom Temple Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. In 2025, Duom Temple continued to undergo restoration and renovation, becoming more spacious and well-maintained.

Despite many stages of development, the temple has preserved its sacred and historical values. Today, it is not only a spiritual destination at the beginning of the year but also a symbol of patriotism, solidarity, and deep gratitude of present generations toward their predecessors.
