Thai Nguyen launches the 2026 Economic Survey

On January 7, in Pho Yen Ward, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee and the Steering Committee for the 2026 Economic Survey held a launching ceremony to roll out the Economic Survey across the province.

The Economic Survey is one of three national statistical surveys conducted every five years. The 2026 survey is the seventh large-scale national economic survey conducted nationwide, offering broad coverage and a comprehensive statistical scope. Its results are of particular importance in assessing the current state of the economy, compiling key macroeconomic indicators such as GDP and GRDP, and supporting the formulation of socio-economic development policies at both central and local levels in the coming period.

For Thai Nguyen Province, the 2026 Economic Survey is identified as an important political task, helping the province conduct a comprehensive and objective assessment of its economic structure, production scale, competitiveness, level of digital transformation, and the distribution of economic establishments across the province; thereby effectively supporting leadership, governance, and the development of strategies and plans aligned with local conditions. According to the plan, data collection will be carried out from now until the end of July 2026.
