Delivering Resilient Growth in a Challenging Market

In the first nine months of 2025, Masan High-Tech Materials recorded revenue of VND 5,048 billion, up 25% year-on-year, while EBITDA increased 26% to VND 1,465 billion. During the same period, the company continued to provide stable employment and income for nearly 1,500 employees. These results were achieved amid a volatile global minerals market marked by supply chain disruptions, geopolitical uncertainty, and accelerating demand from high-tech industries. The performance underscores MHT’s disciplined execution, effective risk management, and ability to sustain growth despite external headwinds.

Central to the company’s long-term development is a focus on technological mastery, deep processing, and value enhancement of mineral resources. At the same time, MHT continues to invest in human capital and foster a culture of innovation. Innovation-driven initiatives are systematically embedded into operations through programs such as Innovation Day, the MHTers Initiative Program, and technical skills competitions across production and maintenance teams.

The Masan Tungsten Company (MTC), operated by MHT, was once again certified by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a “High-Tech Enterprise,” marking its second such recognition. In 2025, MTC also achieved Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) conformance - one of the world’s leading standards for responsible mineral sourcing - along with ISO certifications covering quality, environmental, and energy management. These milestones reflect MHT’s proactive alignment with increasingly stringent global ESG and sustainability requirements.

Beyond its core business activities, throughout 2025 MHT continued to implement social development programs across clean water, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and livelihood development. Designed around local needs and implemented in close coordination with authorities, these initiatives reinforce the company’s commitment to shared and sustainable value creation.

Leveraging Strategic Mineral Advantages

As Vietnam strengthens its policy framework for strategic minerals, MHT’s long-term investments in technology and deep processing have positioned the company with a distinctive competitive advantage. Masan High-Tech Materials not only controls the world’s second-largest tungsten reserves, but also fully masters the deep processing value chain - producing high value-added products such as ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten oxide powders with purity levels of up to 99.99%. These capabilities enable Vietnam’s strategic mineral resources to move beyond raw extraction and participate more deeply in the global high-tech materials supply chain, serving essential industries both domestically and internationally.

On November 24, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 2581/QD-TTg approving adjustments to the national master plan for mineral exploration, mining, and processing for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Under the revised plan, the Nui Phao mine was included in the adjustment roadmap, providing a clear legal foundation for continued long-term investment and effective utilization of strategic mineral resources.

The alignment between corporate strategy and national development priorities was further highlighted during the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, when General Secretary To Lam and senior government leaders visited Masan High-Tech Materials’ exhibition area within the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment’s pavilion. Commending the company’s technological capabilities and deep processing model, the General Secretary noted: “These are high-tech materials that the world is paying close attention to, and Vietnam is capable of producing them, this is something that should be further promoted”. The remark underscores not only recognition of the company’s achievements, but also the growing role of strategic minerals in strengthening Vietnam’s position within global high-tech value chains.

In this context, MHT’s inclusion in the VNR500 represents more than a measure of revenue scale. It reflects a strategic trajectory built on technology, sustainability, and long-term value creation. With a strong technological foundation, a skilled workforce, and supportive national policies, Masan High-Tech Materials is well positioned to advance further along the global high-tech materials value chain, contributing meaningfully to Vietnam’s economic transformation in the years ahead.
