The project focuses on clearing blockages and dredging sediment from the underground drainage system, including culverts, manholes, and water inlets across Phan Dinh Phung Ward. The Chairman directly inspected several sites being carried out by Bac Ninh Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Joint Stock Company. Currently, the contractor has mobilized additional machinery and organized four construction teams to work simultaneously, thereby accelerating progress.

The delegation also inspected the dredging and clearance of underground culverts, covered drains, manholes, and water inlets in residential areas, which are currently being implemented by Thai Nguyen Urban Drainage and Infrastructure Development One Member Limited Liability Company using specialized machinery, sludge suction trucks, and high-pressure spraying vehicles.

Regarding specific targets, the Chairman required maintaining the overall 45-day schedule while striving to shorten the construction period further.

Alongside immediate solutions, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that relevant specialized agencies should continue to study options to gradually reinforce canals, culverts, manholes, and pumping stations, and consider adding items such as deep wells, booster pumps, and automatic culverts to proactively respond to heavy rainfall and prevent the recurrence of flooding.
