Nguom Rock Shelter is one of the most representative archaeological sites, holding particularly important value for the study of Vietnam’s prehistoric history as well as that of Southeast Asia. Despite existing difficulties, professional agencies and local authorities have made great efforts to preserve and protect the site from the impacts of time and daily human activities. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Nguom Rock Shelter is not only a valuable asset of the locality but also a shared heritage of the nation; therefore, its preservation must be closely linked with systematic scientific research and oriented toward the sustainable exploitation of its value for traditional education and cultural–historical tourism development.
In Than Sa commune, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the handover ceremony of “Great Solidarity” houses for households severely affected by natural disasters, with funding of 125 million VND per house. Speaking at the ceremony, he stressed that providing housing support for people affected by natural disasters is the responsibility of the entire political system and society as a whole, reflecting the spirit of unity, mutual support, and the principle of “leaving no one behind.” He called on Party committees and local authorities at all levels to continue paying close attention to the livelihoods of households after natural disasters, and expressed appreciation for the timely support and solidarity shown by businesses and media agencies in social welfare efforts across the province.
