On 10 December, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen University, held a closing session for the project “Developing an H’Mong chicken farming model to contribute to building the brand of the specialty black-bone, black-meat chicken in several northern mountainous provinces”, implemented in 2025.

Participating households were provided with 8,000 H’Mong chicken breeds, along with support in materials, technical guidance, and training on biosecurity, waste treatment, care procedures, and disease prevention. The project also established a linkage model to secure product consumption.
The chickens achieved a high survival rate of over 95%, and after 16 weeks reached an average weight of more than 1.6 kilograms. The adoption of a biosecure commercial H’Mong chicken farming process improved productivity, reduced production costs, and enhanced stability in livestock farming. In the coming period, the model will continue to be scaled up.
