'Golden Hands in Tea Processing' Competition and Tea Tasting with Celebrities

On the morning of December 14, at Cau Da tea hill in La Bang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, the “Golden Hands in Tea Processing” competition and the Tea Tasting with Celebrities program took place. These activities were part of the 2025 Thai Nguyen Tea Festival.

The “Golden Hands in Tea Processing” competition brought together 10 teams from representative tea-growing areas across Thai Nguyen. From the very first round of tea picking, the competitive atmosphere was already lively and intense. Following the tea-picking round was the processing and pan-firing stage. This is the decisive step that determines the quality and flavor of each batch of tea, where the skills, sensibility, and finesse of tea makers are most clearly demonstrated. Alongside the competition was an open cultural space featuring the talk show “Poetry and Tea” and the program “Tea Tasting with Celebrities,” with the participation of artists, tea artisans, and cultural researchers.

The competition has helped spread the aroma and reputation of La Bang tea in particular, and Thai Nguyen tea in general, enabling more visitors and tea lovers to learn about them. Notably, from December 19 to 21, the "Thai Nguyen - Fragrance and beauty of famous tea" Festival will take place at Vo Nguyen Giap Square in Thai Nguyen Province, offering visitors opportunities to enjoy tea, experience distinctive tea culture, and immerse themselves in a vibrant and culturally rich festival atmosphere.
