Thai Nguyen Province’s 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress for 2025-2030 period

On the morning of October 30th, Thai Nguyen Province solemnly held its First Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025–2030 period, an event to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of the Provincial Party Organization of Thai Nguyen, towards the 14th National Party Congress and the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

In his opening speech, Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Council for Emulation and Commendation, emphasized: “77 years ago, in Thai Nguyen, President Ho Chi Minh issued the Call for Patriotic Emulation, affirming that ‘Emulation is patriotism, and those who love their country must emulate".

In 1952, the 1st The First National Congress of Patriotic Emulation Exemplars was held in Thai Nguyen, marking an important milestone that sparked a widespread patriotic emulation movement and contributed to the victory of the resistance war against French colonialism.”

Upholding that tradition, emulation movements in the province have become increasingly widespread and effective. During the 2020–2025 period, 160 collectives and individuals in the province were awarded Orders by the State President; 525 collectives and individuals received Emulation Flags or Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; and over 25,000 collectives, individuals, and households were commended by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. Tens of thousands of exemplary models were also honored at various levels.

Attending and speaking at the Congress, Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of Thai Nguyen Province in implementing emulation movements in recent years. He requested that Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh’s thought and Directive No.

41 of the Politburo on emulation and commendation. He emphasized linking emulation with patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance so that each official, Party member, and worker better understands the role of emulation in development. He also called for improving the quality of commendations, ensuring transparency, democracy, and timeliness, and giving attention to direct laborers as well as people in remote and mountainous areas.
