On June 25, Nui Phao Mining Company Ltd. (“Nui Phao Mining” or “Nui Phao”) held a handover ceremony for two community infrastructure projects in Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province. The projects included a “Rural Road Lighting” system benefiting five hamlets in Ha Thuong and Phuc Linh Communes, and a “Drainage Canal” system supporting two hamlets in Ha Thuong Commune.
The completed lighting system spans 2.5 kilometers, featuring 67 LED streetlights installed along residential roads and near community centers in Dong Gia and Suoi Cat Hamlets (Ha Thuong Commune), as well as Soi, Tho, and Ngoc Linh Hamlets (Phuc Linh Commune). Nui Phao Mining contributed VND 25 million to the project, with the remaining cost covered through contributions from local residents.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dang Van Thi, Vice Chairman of Ha Thuong Commune People’s Committee, emphasized the significance of the initiative: “The street lighting has proven highly effective, enhancing the appearance of the rural landscape, improving mobility, and encouraging physical activity and community engagement. The people of Ha Thuong are truly delighted.”
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nuong, a resident of Ngoc Linh Hamlet, shared her appreciation: “Bright roads and alleys bring joy to everyone. It’s now much easier for us to gather in the evenings, hold community meetings, or simply spend time together. We’re grateful to Nui Phao’s care about our quality of life.”
This marks the 17th project under Nui Phao’s “Rural Road Lighting” initiative, launched in 2018 as part of its long-term commitment to supporting advanced rural development. To date, over 12 kilometers of public lighting have been installed across several neighboring communes, bringing light to even the smallest village lanes.
On the same day, Nui Phao Mining contributed VND 40 million toward the construction of two drainage canals, totaling 437 meters in length, in Khuon Linh and Bai Bong Hamlets (Ha Thuong Commune). These new canals complement the recently expanded 6-meter-wide village roads (also supported by Nui Phao), helping improve water drainage, reducing the risk of flooding during the rainy season and improving overall living conditions.
