On the afternoon of April 8, the Ceremony to announce the Set of Indexes for assessing the implementation results of Free Trade Agreements (FTA Index) in 2024 took place at the Government Headquarters, connecting to 63 provinces and centrally-run cities. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the results of surveys and assessments on the implementation of FTAs in various localities, the effectiveness of programs and policies supporting businesses in leveraging FTAs, the implementation of sustainable development commitments within FTAs, as well as the difficulties and challenges faced by local authorities and enterprises.
In the process of implementing FTAs, authorities and departments in Thai Nguyen province have proactively researched, reviewed, and provided feedback on draft policies and legal documents from central government agencies. They have also regularly monitored and promptly gathered information on policies, import-export activities with FTA markets, and domestic market demands for the business community.
In 2024, Thai Nguyen attracted over 100 investors from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and other countries to explore investment opportunities in its industrial zones. The province issued 25 new investment registration certificates, with a total registered capital of USD 680 million in industrial zones.
Thai Nguyen was among 11 provinces recognized for achieving commendable results in the FTA Index assessment and was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
