Headquarters of Bank, Tax, and Regional Treasury to locate in Thai Nguyen province

According to Decree No. 29/2025/ND-CP, which stipulates the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance recently issued by the Government, the Tax Department, Customs Department, and Vietnam Social Insurance will operate at three levels.

Accordingly, local Tax Departments will be organized into 20 regions. The Tax Department of Region VII, with the administrative area covering Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Ha Giang, will have its main office in Thai Nguyen Province. Similarly, the State Treasury, with 20 regions nationwide, will have Region VII covering the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Ha Giang, with the main office located in Thai Nguyen Province.

After restructuring, the State Bank of Vietnam will streamline its provincial branch model, reducing the number from 63 to 15. The Regional Bank V will include six provinces: Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Giang, and Bac Kan, with its headquarters in Thai Nguyen Province.
