Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung works with FPT Leader on digital transformation

On March 7, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, met with the leadership of the FPT Group to discuss cooperation in digital transformation and education development.

The delegates attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung emphasized that Thai Nguyen considers Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo as a "guiding principle," with digital transformation and innovation being key breakthrough areas. With the advantage of having Thai Nguyen University, which has 81,000 students and large-scale training programs, the province hopes that FPT Group can leverage this human resource and explore the possibility of establishing a data center and high-performance computing center in the region.

The Chairman also requested FPT Group's support in developing e-commerce, promoting the digital economy, and collaborating in graphics, digital cinema, and digital arts. Thai Nguyen has invested in building a digital film studio and is currently working on a film that is expected to be released in May 2025. The province hopes that FPT Group will join in developing this creative industry, applying digital arts to tourism development, particularly the "sound tourism" model where visitors can enjoy tea while experiencing the distinct sounds of Thai Nguyen.

The Chairman further mentioned that the province aims to make Thai Nguyen tea a billion-dollar industry, with technology playing a crucial role in enhancing product value. As FPT is a leading export enterprise, the province hopes FPT will assist in expanding the tea export market. He affirmed that Thai Nguyen is always ready to create favorable conditions for businesses to engage in key areas, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province.
