On September 12, Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (Ministry of Industry and Trade), organized a seminar to promote and disseminate information on trade remedies. The seminar was attended by leaders from relevant departments and agencies and representatives of nine districts and cities in the province.
During the seminar, a representative from the Trade Remedies Authority affirmed that trade remedies are practical tools to safeguard domestic industries' legal rights and interests in the context of Vietnam's current integration. It also contributes to making the Vietnamese market more vibrant and competitive.
The Trade Remedies Authority representative also conveyed various information, such as the definition and guidance on measures of trade remedies to protect the legitimate interests of businesses, the operational mechanism of trade remedies, the impact of trade defence measures, and trade remedies cases initiated by Vietnam.
The Trade Remedies Authority representative answered some of the delegates' questions and suggestions regarding the current efforts to enhance trade defence capabilities.
