Thai Nguyen University of Sciences (Thai Nguyen University) hosted the 4th International Workshop on Advanced Materials and Devices (IWAMD 2023) from August 11 to 13.
The representatives from central ministries, departments, and sectors, along with the National University of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Osaka University (Japan), Vietnam Physical Society, Vietnam Materials Research Society, the Vietnam Society of Magnetism, and numerous research institutes and universities across the country attended the workshop.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ms Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the workshop.
The workshop was jointly organized by Thai Nguyen University of Sciences, Hanoi University of Science (National University of Hanoi), and Osaka University (Japan), with the participation of over 200 scientists, including around 50 leading experts inside and outside the country.
During the workshop, domestic and international scientists discussed various fields, such as materials science, physics, nanomaterials, and devices. |
The workshop attracted 210 presentations from authors from various countries worldwide, including Vietnam. The reports and discussions focused on advanced devices, biological materials, energy materials, physics and quantum computing, and the physical foundations of artificial intelligence (AI)...
Speaking at the workshop, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee informed the delegates inside and outside the country about the province's notable economic and social development achievements, particularly in administrative reform and digital transformation.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai stated that the workshop would provide opportunities for the managers and scientists of Thai Nguyen University and the entire country to enhance collaboration, promote innovation and leverage existing strengths to contribute to developing the national science field.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai expressed her hope that the central ministries, departments, and international and Vietnamese scientists will continue to cooperate and support Thai Nguyen in applying scientific and technological progress to economic and social development, especially in the fields of physics, advanced materials, and devices.
