Samsung Thai Nguyen presents gifts worth 190 million VND to students in mountainous areas

Responding to the Month of Action for Children and World Children's Day (June 1), on May 23, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. (SEVT) organized the 2024 Volunteer Program in mountainous areas with the theme "Better School, Brighter Future" at the Lien Phuong School Point, Van Lang commune (Dong Hy).

The program contributes to improving the learning conditions of students by sponsoring material facilities and learning tools for them.

At the program, SEVT presented gifts totaling 190 million VND including items such as washing machines, water purifiers, electric rice cookers, school drums, insurance for teachers, and learning tools for students. Within the framework of the program, SEVT also presented gifts to some students with special circumstances. The funding for the program is mobilized from the support of the SEVT Trade Union and Korean employees working at SEVT.

On this occasion, SEVT also organized recreational activities for students at the Lien Phuong School Point; built a vegetable garden to improve nutrition; and organized special lunches for students.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Van Lang No. 2 Ethnic Boarding Primary School has 28 officials, teachers, staff, and 410 students in 17 classes. The Lien Phuong School Point alone has 5 classes with 135 students, the majority of whom are from the Mong ethnic group.
