PCI Thai Nguyen in 2023 increases by 2 levels

According to the announcement by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on May 9 in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen's PCI reached 67.48 points (up 1.38 points), ranking 23rd (up 2 levels) compared to 2022.

In 2023, Thai Nguyen's result includes: 4 indices improved, 1 indice remained, and 5 indices declined compared to 2022. Notably, improvements include Time and Cost Compliance, Informal Costs, Provincial Leadership Dynamism, and Labor Training.

Stable Market Access indice unchanged. Decreases include Land Access and Stability, Transparency and Information Access, Equal Competition, Business Support Services, and Legal Frameworks and Security.

Regarding the PGI, this is the second year VCCI has implemented and announced it, following the trial version introduced in April 2023.

Notable results this year include Quang Ninh maintaining its top position for the 7th consecutive year, Long An rising to second place, and Bac Giang dropping to fourth. Ba Ria-Vung Tau is no longer in the top 5.
