Samsung sponsors two projects in Thai Nguyen

On April 1, at the Yen Binh Industrial Park, Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd (SEVT) organized a ceremony to sign sponsorship agreements for two projects on supplying water for crop production in the province. Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, SEVT representative and Dinh Hoa district and Phu Binh district representatives signed agreements to implement two projects on supplying water for crop production in the area. Accordingly, SEVT will sponsor 2 billion VND for two projects, including Constructing a water pumping station for crop production in Khau Lang hamlet, Tan Thinh commune, Dinh Hoa district, and repairing a water pumping station for crop production in La Muoi hamlet, Tan Khanh commune, Phu Binh district.

Mr. Park Sung Ho, General Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam, stated: "This activity is part of SEVT's implementation of the new environmental management strategy, which is a commitment to society, ensuring that the company's production activities do not generate issues related to the local water resources. Through this, SEVT hopes to promote sustainable local economic development, rational and efficient use of water resources, and bringing many benefits to the community."

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged SEVT's contributions and concerns for the province's economic development and social security. He expressed his desire for SEVT to maintain stable production and business activities and continue to sponsor practical and effective projects for the people.

It is known that the two hamlets, Khau Lang and La Muoi, frequently experience water shortages, leading to reduce crop yields.
