Thai Nguyen sets up special task group to speed up extended Bac Son road project

Thai Nguyen authorities have established a special task group to oversee and accelerate the Extended Bac Son Road Project, aiming for completion by June 30, 2025. The move follows direct inspections by the Provincial Party Secretary at several key infrastructure sites.

While the main roadwork is complete, several auxiliary components remain unfinished, such as trees, lighting, water supply, and fire prevention systems.

The task group is led by the Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Loan, with the Director of the Department of Construction and the Acting Chairman of Thai Nguyen City serving as deputies. Its members include officials from various provincial departments. The team monitors construction progress, resolves obstacles, and pushes the project forward.

Launched in July 2018, the nearly 10-kilometer project is one of Thai Nguyen City's key transport routes, with a total investment exceeding 2.1 trillion VND. Originally slated for completion in December 2019, the project was suspended in late 2022 due to various challenges and remains incomplete.
