At the meeting, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung introduced the province's socio-economic development potential and advantages, particularly in tea cultivation, processing and export. Besides traditional tea export markets like Taiwan (China) and Afghanistan, Pakistan is also an important market. Although Thai Nguyen's tea export volume and value to Pakistan have shown a slight decrease recently due to some objective factors, this market maintains its attractiveness.
Currently, Thai Nguyen has two enterprises directly exporting tea to Pakistan, however, the export value remains modest. The Chairman of Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee expressed his hope for stronger connections in the coming time, aiming to sign cooperation agreements between Thai Nguyen's tea enterprises and cooperatives with Pakistani partners, to establish Thai Nguyen tea as a raw material for Pakistan's food and pharmaceutical industries.
