Agreeing on content of the Twenty-second Session of the 14th Provincial People's Council

On the afternoon of October 22, Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the Conference to agree on the content of the Twenty-second Session (Symposium) of the 14th Provincial People's Council for 2021 - 2026 term.

The Conference was attended by the following comrades: Do Duc Cong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Xuan Truong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mai Thi Thuy Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Committees of the Provincial People's Council and relevant departments and branches.

The Twenty-second Session (Symposium) of the 14th Provincial People's Council is scheduled to be held on November 1. The session will consider various matters including: Proposal and draft Resolution on defining the authority to decide on asset procurement for science and technology tasks using state budget; procurement of goods and services using science and technology funds under Thai Nguyen province's management; Proposal and draft Resolution on adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for 2021-2025 period and the 2024 public investment plan of Thai Nguyen province; Proposal and draft Resolution on deciding the list of land areas for bidding investment projects using land in the province; Proposal and draft Resolution on allocating central budget and local budget funds to units and localities implementing the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2024; Proposal and draft Resolution approving the investment policy for the construction project of 16 commune-level Military Command headquarters in 2025.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Hoang Son requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and sectors to promptly prepare related contents for the Council's Committees to examine on time; the contents in the proposals must comply with legal regulations, creating high consensus and agreement. Regarding the proposal on adjusting the public investment plan, funding sources need to be arranged to ensure implementation according to the set resolution schedule. Concerning the investment policy for the construction project of 16 commune-level Military Command headquarters in 2025, the Provincial Military Command should coordinate with departments and sectors to ensure site clearance, construction investment procedures and accelerate the progress of projects with available sites. For other contents, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council basically agrees in principle. The Chairman also requested the Council's Committees to coordinate early examination, discuss with the Provincial People's Committee to make timely adjustments if there are any issues; the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council should ensure logistics and services for the Session to meet all planned contents.
