Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday chaired a national online conference linking 63 cities and provinces on developing the labor market in a flexible, modern, sustainable, and globally integrated manner. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also attended the conference.

Mr. Dang Xuan Truong, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, attended the online conference at Thai Nguyen bridge point.
The report at the conference stated: After more than 35 years of renovation, Vietnam's labor market has gradually approached the region and the world. As a result, all policies supporting labor market development and job creation have been consistently implemented from the central to local levels, including policies supporting labor market recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a result, from 2011 up to now, the whole country has created jobs for more than 15 million laborers, and the unemployment rate has often remained below 3 percent. Especially, from 2021 to the end of July 2022, nearly 50 million turns of employees and other subjects were supported by the State budget, with a total amount of over 82 trillion VND.

In Thai Nguyen, the provincial authorities regularly coordinate with businesses and schools to organize face-to-face and online job sessions, attracting more than 100 units, businesses, and vocational education and training inside and outside the province participated each year; each session had more than 22,000 targets of labor recruitment and enrollment of apprentices. During the last 5 years, the province had about 15,000 turns of workers, students, and students receiving career counseling and career orientation and about 10,000 turns of people being introduced to jobs.

At the online conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the Vietnamese Party and State always paid attention to the labor market and considered human resources one of the three strategic breakthroughs for socio-economic development.
To achieve the set targets, the Prime Minister suggested that ministries, branches, and localities need to improve their capacity and social awareness of human resource development, constantly innovating and perfecting mechanisms and policies to meet the labor market. Besides, he said and called for improving the quality of human resources to meet the needs of the labor market, proactively taking measures to respond to fluctuations related to the world labor market.
