In the first 6 months of 2022, Thai Nguyen province has granted approvals to 5 foreign non-governmental projects.
Including: Project "Promoting the realization of rights of ethnic minority children in Vo Nhai district" funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) through Adoptionscentrum (ACS - Sweden); 2 projects "Screening for congenital heart disease for 3,000 children in Thai Nguyen province in the period of 2022-2024" and "Online interactive learning platform Female Students’ Club" funded by The VinaCapital Foundation (VCF); The project "Capacity building and organizational development for the Vietnam Association of People with Disabilities - CODV3" by Dansk Handicap Forbund Organization (DHF) and the Project "Improving living and settlement conditions for ethnic minorities in the communes of Van Lang, Tan Long (Dong Hy)” sponsored by Habitat for Humanity International - Vietnam (HFHI-V).
In addition to the 5 newly approved projects, the province also extended the implementation period of two projects that are "Strengthening the capacity of the community-based healthcare system to effectively manage depression" by BasicNeeds and "Building water purification system for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Thai Nguyen province" sponsored by Daejin International Volunteer Organization.
Up to now, Thai Nguyen has 21 projects using foreign non-governmental aid. Disbursement value of projects in the first 6 months of 2022 reached 622,225 USD (increasing 41.91% over the same period last year), the sponsorship commitment value reached nearly 8,340,000 USD (increasing 15.1%). It shows that Thai Nguyen continues to effectively carry out advocacy and cooperation for foreign non-governmental funding, which is also a premise for the aid mobilization of the province in the next period.
