Sports tournament for disabled athletes: Thai Nguyen wins 12 medals

From May 26 to June 3, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Sports Administration in collaboration with the Vietnam Paralympic Association and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City organizes the National sports tournament - 2022 for disabled athletes competing in the events: Archery, Boccia, Judo for the blind and wheelchair tennis.

200 athletes, coaches and carers from 6 provinces and cities across the country attended the tournament. Thai Nguyen has 12 athletes participating in 2/4 events: 7 athletes compete in wheelchair tennis; 5 athletes compete in archery.

On the afternoon of June 1, Thai Nguyen team successfully completed the competition events, winning a total of 12 medals of all kinds, including 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 7 bronze medals; won the second flag for the whole team in archery; the first flag for the whole team in wheelchair tennis.

In the first four months of this year, the total export value of goods fetched the province USD 10.77 billion, a rise of nearly 15.7 percent year on year. In which FDI’s export value gained over USD 10.56 billion, accounting for 98 percent of the whole province’s export value, up 15.2 percent; domestic export value reached USD 212 million, an increase of 43.6 percent.

Thai Nguyen: Number of tourists during a four-day holiday increases six-fold

During the recent four-day holiday (from April 30 to May 3), Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism estimated the number of tourists arrivals to Thai Nguyen surged, reaching more than 150,000, rising six-fold from last year.
