Thai Nguyen: Export value increases by 27.8%

By the end of May 2022, the total export value of Thai Nguyen province reached over 14.29 billion USD, increasing by 27.8% over the same period in 2021. In details, the foreign invested economic sector (accounting for over 98% of the province's export value) reached 14.04 billion USD, increasing by 27.7% over the same period; the domestic economic sector reached 258.4 million USD, increasing by 36.7%.

In May alone, the province's total export value was over 2.79 billion USD, witnessing an increase of 49.5% over the same period, but reducing 15% compared to previous month. By economic sector, the domestic economic sector reached 47.9 million USD, increasing by 15.6% over the same period; the foreign invested economic sector reached 2.74 billion USD, increasing by 50.3%.

For the group of major export items in the first five months of 2022, many items had higher export value compared to the same period, such as: electronic products and spare parts 9.99 billion USD, seeing an increase of 58.4%; tablets 1.28 billion USD, increasing by 22.4%; non-ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal ore 130.7 million USD, increasing by 63.4%; iron and steel products 18.1 million USD, increasing by 45.4%; garment products 178.2 million USD, increasing by 14.2%...
