On December 18, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, inspected the Ring Road 1 Project (Bo Dau, Phu Luong – Hoa Thuong, Dong Hy section), the Hoa Thuong – Dong Hy urban bypass, and the Quang Vinh 1 Bridge Project together with its connecting road system.

The Ring Road 1 Project, passing through Vo Tranh Commune and Quan Trieu Ward, where Son Cam Bridge is under construction, has so far reached only 42% completion, six months behind schedule. The main reason is delays in site clearance and the construction of resettlement areas. The Chairman assigned the localities to strive to complete site clearance for resettlement area construction before the Lunar New Year, and no later than the first quarter of 2026.

At the Hoa Thuong – Dong Hy urban bypass, the Chairman acknowledged the efforts of local authorities, particularly along the section passing through Dong Hy Commune, where site clearance has reached approximately 88%. However, there are still 26 households requiring resettlement. He requested Dong Hy Commune to urgently complete approval of resettlement plans for all households by December 30, while simultaneously implementing temporary accommodation support; by January 10, 2026 at the latest, 100% of the site must be handed over.

Regarding the Quang Vinh 1 Bridge Project, construction progress has reached only about 31%, with the connecting road section largely not yet implemented, while the number of households requiring relocation is high and the resettlement rate remains very low. The Chairman instructed Quan Trieu Ward to focus intensively on the project, dividing site clearance for resettlement areas into two peak phases, from now until the Lunar New Year and during the first quarter of 2026, while flexibly applying temporary accommodation policies in parallel with the early completion of resettlement areas.

The province has secured financial resources and aims to have resettlement land ready by August 30, 2026, for allocation to residents, thereby creating conditions to accelerate construction progress and complete these projects as soon as possible.
