Thai Nguyen records high results at National Excellent Student Selection Examination

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the results of the National Excellent Student Selection Examination for high school students in the 2025–2026 academic year.

According to statistics, nationwide, there were 3,992 prize-winning students out of more than 6,750 candidates, accounting for over 59 percent, a slight increase compared to the 2024–2025 academic year.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City rose to lead the country in the number of prize winners with 288 awards. Other localities with outstanding achievements include Ninh Binh with 238 awards, Phu Tho with 229, Hai Phong with 208 and Hanoi with 207.

Notably, Thai Nguyen continued to affirm its position among localities with strong, high-quality education, with 125 prize-winning students, including 3 First Prizes, 25 Second Prizes, 38 Third Prizes, and 59 Consolation Prizes across 12 subjects. This achievement places Thai Nguyen among the top localities nationwide, alongside many major education centers.

Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted, in particular, made a strong mark with 111 awards, including 3 First Prizes, 23 Second Prizes, 36 Third Prizes, and 49 Consolation Prizes, ranking 6th nationwide among specialized high schools with participating and prize-winning students.
