According to assessments at the meeting, cybersecurity assurance achieved many positive results in 2025. The legal framework has been gradually improved; the capacity to protect information systems has continued to be enhanced; international cooperation has made new progress, notably the organization of the signing ceremony for the Hanoi Convention; and efforts to combat and prevent cybercrime have been strengthened.
However, the sector still faces several limitations, including uneven awareness, a high risk of data insecurity, shortages of human resources and equipment, and increasingly complex online fraud.
In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed that safeguarding cybersecurity and data security is an urgent and regular task. He called for stronger efforts in prevention, early detection, and timely risk management.
The Prime Minister also requested the urgent development of an action plan for 2026 to prevent and push back against cybercrime, protect national sovereignty in cyberspace, maintain social security and safety, curb online fraud, and promote the development of the digital economy and digital society.
