Thai Nguyen delegation’s working visit to Lao Cai yields fruitful outcomes

Continuing the working program in Lao Cai Province, on the morning of October 26, the delegation of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong, held meetings and conducted field surveys at several key tourist destinations in Sa Pa Ward, including the Fansipan Cable Car Tourist Area.

The Fansipan Cable Car is an internationally recognized engineering project and a symbol of the determination, innovation, and pioneering spirit of the Lao Cai provincial authorities and Sun Group.

The success of the project demonstrates strategic vision, strong leadership from the local government, and the investor’s pioneering mindset. It has turned Lao Cai into a model of effective public–private partnership in tourism development, opening up new directions for provinces in the Northern midland and mountainous region, including Thai Nguyen, toward sustainable tourism development.

Following the survey, leaders of Thai Nguyen Province stated that the locality is orienting the development of a tourism route connecting the Eastern slope of the Tam Dao mountain range with the Nui Coc Lake National Tourism Area, forming a distinctive chain of eco-tourism, spiritual, and resort destinations. The province is calling for strategic investors to study and develop a cable car project in this area, thereby creating new growth space for the tourism sector.

Learning from Sa Pa’s success, Thai Nguyen aims to gain experience in planning, management, investment attraction, and image promotion, to make tourism a key economic sector that enhances the province’s position and attractiveness in the new period.

Over the three-day trip (from October 24 to 26), the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee delegation carried out an intensive working agenda with 15 field surveys and exchanges of experience across various fields, including Party building, socio-economic development, digital transformation, urban management, tourism development, and investment attraction.

The working trip concluded successfully, yielding fruitful outcomes and contributing to strengthening the increasingly close and effective cooperative relationship between the two provinces.
