Thai Nguyen delegation visits wastewater treatment plant of Dutch enterprise

Continuing the investment promotion program in some European countries, on April 15 (local time), the Thai Nguyen province delegation visited and worked with the Haskoning DHV International Technical and Project Management Company and visited the Nereda wastewater treatment plant in Utrecht city, the Netherlands.

Haskoning DHV is a global consulting and engineering company that has successfully implemented many projects in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, in various fields: industrial, civil, and technical design consultancy; water technology and management; resilience; disaster risk management; environment; renewable energy... In particular, DHV Vietnam has been awarded the title of the best working environment company in Asia.

Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, thanked Ms. Maartje Wise, CEO of Haskoning DHV Company, for providing information on the capacity to implement projects in Vietnam and some localities, while expressing concerns about wastewater treatment issues, environmental sanitation, urban drainage, and climate change.

Ms. Maartje Wise expects to open up cooperation opportunities for both sides, positively impacting society and the environment.

Also, at the working session, experts from the Nereda wastewater treatment plant introduced wastewater treatment technology using the unique feature of activated sludge biomass, the most advanced artificial microorganism technology without using chemicals, to treat wastewater with a capacity of 46 thousand square metre per day.
