SEVT launches program "Blood for Vietnamese 2023"

On August 16, at Samsung Electronics Vietnam - Thai Nguyen Limited Company (SEVT), the launching ceremony of the voluntary blood donation program "Blood for Vietnamese 2023" phase 2 took place.

Mr. Dang Xuan Truong, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial Peoples Committee, presented Certificates of Merit and recognized SEVTs contributions to social welfare.

Mr. Dang Xuan Truong, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Mr. Park Sung Ho, SEVT General Director, attended the ceremony.

This annual event, organized by SEVT in collaboration with the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Red Cross of Thai Nguyen Province, aims to address the blood shortage for emergencies and medical treatment.

Under the" Warrior Spirit" motto, the program aims to inspire young individuals to lead healthy lives and be ready to contribute positively to the community's well-being and love. The program spans 6 days, divided into three phases: Phase 1 from August 16-17, Phase 2 from August 23-24, and Phase 3 from August 30-31, with an expected collection of over 1,500 blood units.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Dang Xuan Truong acknowledged and praised SEVT for its positive contributions to the overall economic and social development of the province and its involvement in social welfare activities. Particularly, through the "Blood for Vietnamese 2023" program, SEVT has significantly contributed to the province's healthcare efforts.

With its social responsibility, since its operation in Thai Nguyen (March 2014), SEVT has annually supported blood donation programs for all employees and workers. By the end of June 2023, SEVT's staff had donated 49,100 units of blood, significantly addressing blood shortages in emergency and medical treatment situations in Vietnam.
