Thai Nguyen city has to withdraw projects behind schedule

This is the main content which Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly directed at the meeting between Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Thai Nguyen City Party Committee , on August 8. Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council also attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged that the Party committee and government of Thai Nguyen city had focused on leading and directing the implementation of investment projects in the area, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, step by step perfecting urban infrastructure. However, besides the achieved results, some shortcomings and limitations were recorded, some projects are still behind schedule.

Assessing the main reason why public investment projects are behind schedule is mainly due to the capacity of investors and construction units, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested these information need to be more public and transparent.

For investment projects outside the budget, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee proposed to clarify the legality and progress of the project; request investors to strictly comply with regulations, commit to implementing the project on the approved schedule. She asked the city and related departments and agencies to continue to uphold the sense of responsibility, determine the roadmap and work on quarter’s and year’s plans, count down the time to complete, meeting the requirements and development tasks in the future.
