According to a report, seven hydropower projects with a total capacity of nearly 45 MW are currently being implemented in the province, along with 20 power grid projects at various levels aimed at improving electricity supply capacity for industrial parks, industrial clusters, and areas with rapidly increasing electricity demand.

A representative of the Northern Power Corporation said that in 2025, peak load capacity in the province increased by nearly 12% compared with the previous year, while commercial electricity output rose by more than 6%. The corporation is focusing on implementing a number of key projects. At the conference, delegates also discussed electricity demand, the progress of power grid projects, and difficulties related to site clearance and route adjustments.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the power sector to pay attention to investing in and upgrading rural power grids, especially in remote and isolated areas, particularly villages and residential clusters that have not yet been connected to the national power grid or where electricity quality remains inadequate. Regarding the progress of power projects in the province, the Chairman assigned the Department of Finance and the Department of Industry and Trade to closely coordinate with the power sector to review administrative procedures for projects that can be processed through the “green lane", to ensure timelines and bring the projects into operation as soon as possible.
