In line with the Government’s targets, Thai Nguyen aims to develop 24,800 social housing units over 2025–2030, with an adjusted target of 60,000 units under the planning framework. A review of 73 projects covering 258 hectares shows the potential to develop approximately 97,000 units; in 2026 alone, the province strives to complete 5,600 units.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairwoman requested the Department of Construction to urgently review and update planning to ensure data accuracy and feasibility of implementation plans, with detailed assessments for each locality and project, particularly in key areas.

She also stressed the need to focus on developing large-scale social housing projects, accelerating procedures and implementation for approved projects, and promptly addressing difficulties. Local authorities were asked to step up site clearance and resettlement efforts while closely coordinating with the Department of Construction in implementation. Regarding housing for the armed forces, relevant units were assigned to review and propose suitable locations, and to complete dossiers for submission to the competent authorities for consideration.
