80,780 people participate in online competition on election law

Recently, the Provincial Council for the Coordination of Legal Dissemination and Education held a ceremony to review and award prizes for the online competition titled “Learning about the Law on Elections of National Assembly Deputies and People’s Council Deputies” across the province.

Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, presented an award to the individual who won the first prize in the competition.

After 30 days of implementation, from January 10 to February 10, the competition attracted 80,780 participants. This is the online legal knowledge competition with the highest number of participants ever organized by the Provincial Council for the Coordination of Legal Dissemination and Education. Among them, 21,924 submissions answered all 10 questions correctly. The Organizing Committee awarded 29 individual prizes and 19 collective prizes, totaling VND 78 million in prize money.

The competition contributed to raising legal awareness and responsibility among officials, Party members, and the public in exercising their rights and obligations as citizens, thereby helping prepare for and contribute to the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

National conference on training for election software

Recently, the Office of the National Election Council held a nationwide online training conference on several aspects of the software used to support the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. In Thai Nguyen, the conference was connected from the Provincial Election Committee’s venue to the Election Committees of 92 communes and wards.

Proactive management and effective utilization of water resources

During the 2021–2025 period, water resource management in Thai Nguyen province recorded many positive developments. The Provincial People’s Committee issued and implemented plans to enforce the Law on Water Resources, and announced the list of internal water sources as well as areas where groundwater exploitation is prohibited or restricted.

Ensuring voting rights for persons in temporary custody and detention

In preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, the Detention Facility No. 1 under the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police has urgently and simultaneously made the necessary preparations to enable persons in temporary custody and detention to exercise their voting rights in accordance with the law.
