Amid the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the Lunar New Year, many residential communities across Thai Nguyen have organized longevity celebration ceremonies for the elderly solemnly and warmly. This is a meaningful cultural tradition, reflecting respect and gratitude for senior citizens who have made significant contributions to their families and society.

This year, Residential Group No. 8 in Quan Trieu Ward honored 22 elderly people aged from 70 to over 90. In a friendly and warm setting, they received certificates of longevity, flowers, and best wishes for the new year.
Mrs. Duong Thi Thu, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Residential Group No. 8, Quan Trieu Ward, Thai Nguyen Province, said: "Every year, at the beginning of spring, our residential group organizes longevity celebrations for the elderly in accordance with regulations. This activity not only carries profound humanitarian significance but also demonstrates the care and attention of Party committees and local authorities toward senior citizens. It also encourages them to continue promoting their exemplary role and contributing to building increasingly civilized communities".
Many elderly people have become role models in grassroots emulation movements by actively participating in education promotion, mediation, building cultural lifestyles, and encouraging younger generations to comply with the Party’s policies and the State’s laws.

Mrs. Hoang Thi Nga in Quan Trieu Ward, Thai Nguyen Province, shared: "I am very happy that this year, the local authorities organized a solemn ceremony to celebrate my 70th birthday. This is a great joy for elderly people, reflecting the attention and care of authorities and localities for our spiritual well-being at the beginning of the new year".
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuc in Residential Group No. 8, Quan Trieu Ward, Thai Nguyen Province, said: "This year I turned 90, and I am deeply moved by the care and support from local authorities and residents. Despite our age, we strive to live as good examples and encourage our children and grandchildren to follow local regulations, contributing to preserving cultural values".
The early spring longevity celebration not only preserves this traditional cultural practice but also contributes to building sustainable cultural life in residential communities and spreading positive humanitarian values throughout society.
